On February 3, like TODAY... 10 YEARS ago, a dream was born, Ojos DE Cielo in western Bariloche... now affirming its traveling roots at km 13. HAPPY BIRTHDAY OJOS DE CIELO!!!

And then, when many paths open before you and you don't know which one to follow, don't just walk into any one at random: sit and wait. Breathe... without allowing anything to distract you: wait and wait more. Be still, in silence, and listen to your heart. And when he speaks to you, get up and go where he takes you.

Arroyo Casa de Piedra trail, reaching Lake Moreno, Playa del Viento. Returning, along the path of the 2 de Agosto neighbourhood and from there to the Jockey Club neighbourhood, arriving at Ojos de Cielo.

Today, the youngest from Ojos de Cielo enjoyed a day in the mountains at Cerro Catedral. We thank the teachers who joined to help, Federiko Flores, Maria Fernanda Guelfo, Patricia Oriozabala and our families.

We enjoyed a walk, games on the beach, a snack, a magic show and surprises.

Ojos de Cielo so much and was able to put the first container in the new property!

This weekend will remain forever in the heart of the great family of Ojos de Cielo because thanks to the predisposition of the people of Bosques, they obtained authorization to clear a sector of the lot. The municipality has already given them prior permission while progress is being made on the ordinance that grants them a lot in the Jockey Club neighbourhood.

The Municipal Council with the support and unity of all councillors, expressed recognition to our institution, with Project 094-20:
THE SOCIAL WORK OF CVIL ASSOCIATION OJOS DE CIELO IS DECLARED OF MUNICIPAL AND COMMUNITY INTEREST.

We are waiting for a meeting these days with Lands and Housing, as Councillor Carlos Sánchez mentioned in the project treaty, to jointly decide the physical space for our institution between km 10 to km 15. Our thanks to all the councillors and especially Julieta Wallace, for embracing our community and its growth; in addition to working together with her peers.

Families of Ojos de Cielo fight for a space of their own for the institution

End of March - First week of April 2020

We have been able to assist our families for two weeks with food modules, the last week of March with the help of a legislator, we managed to attend to 20 families. The first week of April, through the Solidarity Network, we were able to contact and talk with Councillor Julieta Wallace, who was made aware of the need of our people, assistance of 30 families by the municipality. Unemployment increases and the need grows. We live day by day, and from there, we build collectively, supporting each other emotionally, we are in touch via WhatsApp with parents to communicate and act. We are collecting food, because the food crisis is increasing. Please contact us if you want to make a donation of food or money. Thank you very much. Take care of everyone and stay home. Let's be responsible, so we take care of everyone's health.

NORDIC SKI -CERRO OTTO

The Cerro Otto Nordic Ski Center looks covered in snow and allows, through its different slopes, to enjoy the practice of Nordic skiing (or cross-country skiing), an activity originating in the Scandinavian countries and widespread in the Nahuel Huapi region since the forties.

Ojos de Cielo invited representatives from several soup kitchens, centres for the elderly and the Bariloche Solidarity Network. The objective was to learn about the concerns and realities of each one in order to work together and accompany each other in critical moments like now. The surprise of the meeting was a very special visit from Marisa Di Giambatista and one of her sons, who played some songs from La Maroma.

On 20 June we celebrated FLAG DAY at the FREY MOUNTAIN SHELTER!!!...We are seekers and explorers, in order to know the natural environment and the information provided by our senses. With the little ones from the Ojos de Cielo Centre, LOS NARANJITAS, we enjoyed a dance show in ESPACIO ARTE, imagining stories, putting their own word into play through the stimulation of DANCE for writing. All the senses were involved. Thanks to Veronica Laura Cutillo and Valeria Laura Nassif!!!

Visit of members of the children's museum 'The Magic House' from St. Louis, Missouri, United States

We are very grateful to have been able to receive 4 members of the children's museum from the city of St. Louis, State of Missouri, United States. The museum is planning a cultural exhibition about the daily life of children in Argentina, which will open in November. They stayed for a few days in our country to carry out the research process and collect the necessary material. Together with some of the kids from Ojos de Cielo they went up the Cerro Campanario and enjoying the beautiful views they were able to chat and learn more about the activities of our Centre. Thank you very much Beth, Leda, Randy and Beth!

Federico Flores, our training assistant, represented Ojos de Cielo Centre in the 'Brut' race in Bariloche (25 km). He came third! He was cheered on by some of the Ojos de Cielo kids. Congratulations Federico!!

On 23 September 2018, the fifth edition of the Llanquihue solidarity marathon took place in aid of Civil Association Centro Ojos de Cielo. A big thank you to all the runners who, despite the cold, snow and rain participated and to all those who supported and helped us in different ways.
